VNL W: Russia and their fans celebrated victory

Ksenia Parubets led Russia to their first victory in the inaugural women's FIVB Nations League for women.

 

In front of their spectators in Ekaterinburg, Russia outplayed Argentina in four sets (20-25, 25-13, 25-13, 25-22) and only in the first one the opponents had their chances. 

Captain Kseniia Ilchenko Parubets scored 21 points while Natalia Malykh finished the match with 17 points. On the Argentine side, Anahi Florenca Tosi scored 18 points and Agnes Victoria Michel Tosi added 12 points.

During the match, Russia put 13 blocks while the opponents 10 blocks and the hosts had 7 aces while Argentina only 2.

CEV abolished the technical timeouts!

Technical time-outs are too much. Rhytm of the game just disappears because of that. Good decision made by cev, i wish crooked FIVB will do the same thing for international tournaments. Reply
