CAC W: Belize surprised Costa Rica, El Salvador remain unbeaten

This is the happiest day for the hosts Belize at the XX Central American Women’s Volleyball Cup.

  

Today, Belizesurprisingly defeated Costa Rica, a team that was only undefeated until this match. We can say that Belize played a good volleyball but also we must mention that Costa Rica had 30 errors!!!

Sherika Burton who is also the top scorer of the tournament, led Belize with 19 points while Shantell Arnold scored 15 points. On the other side, Yuliana Gonzalez scored 17 points and for now, she is the second best scorer of the championship.

In the second match of the day, El Salvador defeated Nicaragua and remain undefeated and secured their place in the medal table. Gabriela Funes was the top scorer with 21 points.

In the last match of the day, Guatemala dominated over Panama and finally enjoyed in victory after two defeats.

 

Day 4

Belize - Costa Rica 3-1 (25-18, 25-23, 19-25, 26-24)

El Salvador - Nicaragua 3-1 (25-2, 29-27, 23-25, 26-24)

Panama - Guatemala 0-3 (20-25, 19-25, 21-25)
