The club season for Azimut Modena player Tine Urnaut is over, but being a professional volleyball player keeps you busy the whole year. Soon, he will join preparations of Slovenia national team for the 2018 FIVB World Championship but before this, he will have an obligation which he will fulfill with at most pleasure – his own volleyball camp, which will be organized for the third year in a row.

What do you expect from the camp this year?

„We are organizing the camp for the third time, so it became traditional. We expect to have more than 100 participants. Some of them were in the camp already twice. We will do our best to provide young volleyball players an unforgettable experience, new volleyball skills, new knowledge...“ Urnaut said to our website.

Is there going to be something different when it comes to the organization of the camp, activities, and a number of attendees, this year compared to the last year?

„The differences will be: 1) the camp will last for two weeks instead of one, 2) more participants (at least 120; last year there were 80 young players, one third of them was from Carinthia, who stayed at home overnight), 3) campers will come from more countries (besides players from Slovenia, Italy, Croatia and France, we also expect campers from Austria), and 4) no limitation at minimum age.“

What are the main things children do and learn in the camp and will you be there all the time for the duration of the camp?

„I believe that participants will learn a lot, not only volleyball skills and technics but also important things out of the volley court. They will have the opportunity to participate in the training with experienced coaches who helped me in my career, meet experienced physiotherapists and learn about prevention and rehabilitation technics. They will spend active holidays, learn new sports: diving, water volley; enjoy summer in the pool, play beach volley. I am sure that we will have fun at the camp, it will be a perfect occasion to meet new friends and, above all, we will all end these holidays richer for new experience and skills. There will be an opportunity to meet and spend some time with famous volleyball stars, and enjoy different social activities, see movies in the cinema, gain first experiences in giving the interviews, learn new languages. I will do my best to spend as much time as possible with the participants. I will have some obligations with the national team, so I will probably miss some days, but for sure I will be there at the beginning and at the end of the training weeks.“

How much would it mean to you if you had the chance to attend a similar camp when you were a kid?

„I spent my whole childhood playing different sports, and when training stopped because of summer holidays, I missed them; sports and training. It was difficult to find teammates to play volleyball and I started to play beach volley because fewer players are needed. Many times I practiced alone. I participated in volleyball camp twice, but it was on a seaside and we only played volleyball outdoors. It would mean a lot to me at that age if I could play indoor volleyball the whole summer. Therefore  I decided to offer this opportunity to young players.“

How do you see the last season? Do you think that Modena could make a better result?

„I think it was a tough season and at the end, it’s always hard when it doesn’t turn out as you want. Especially when you lose being so close like we did in the semifinals against Civitanova. It was a really balanced series and I think that we could have done more.“

What are your expectations for the 2018 FIVB World Championship and your plans for the next season on a club level?

„I think that we have a good team. All the players earned a great deal of experience in the last season, they all had important roles in their teams and I am happy they had a good season and are healthy and motivated to start the preparations for the World Championships. We want to play our best volleyball and I think that we can make a good result if we give and show our best. On a club level, I am a player of Modena Volley and I will  do my best to help the team win a title and make a good result in the next season.“

The traditional Volleyball camp of Tine Urnaut, third in a row, will take place in Ravne na Koroškem, Slovenia, in two shifts: from July 1 to July 7, 2018, and from July 8 to July 14, 2018. Volleyball camp of Tine Urnaut can be attended by young people who love volleyball and have not yet reached the age of 18. At each shift, there will be 60 young people from Slovenia and abroad, upgrading their volleyball skills. The participants of the camp will have the training twice per day under the leadership of Tine and his team of experienced volleyball coaches.

His son even if born in Italy cannot get italian citizenship. Another excuse from Simon not to stay in Sada with no real support Reply

Will Lube win battle for Simón? Cruzeiro refuse high-priced offer from SupeLega runners-up!

Simon did very bad. The CEO of SADA is italian and the biggest partner of FIAT Group in Brazil....FIVB has an acused corruption in Brazil president and I bet he will do nothing, but Mr Medioli has great influence in Italy and it will cost a lot for Simon this child behavior....I bet even the italian ctizenship he wants for his son that will born he will not get.... He mess up with the wrong man.... Reply
